Today, I finally completed the DeskAway Blog (hosted on our servers) move to Posterous - keeping in mind my personal affinity for all things web-based a.k.a Software As A Service or SaaS. If someone else can build a better blogging app then why not 'outsource' that function to them and focus on the core.

There were several reasons why I decided to make the switch:

1. No installation/ upgrades: We didn't want to dabble with upgrading WordPress everytime there was a new update. It is a waste of time. Basically, we wanted to go SaaS with this.

2. I was decided between Posterous and Tumblr but the recent security issue with Tumblr lead me automatically to Posterous. Though, we might try out a Tumblr site for dedicated tips/videos in the near future.

3. I manage my personal blog on Posterous.

4. Writing posts via email and on-the-go (iPhone/iPad) will be fun!

Note: We have already updated Feedburner with the RSS link of this blog. We will be updating the DeskAway website and other areas which point to the old blog in the next couple of days.
